theEDGE named 'Best Glazed Door' at Build It awards
The Hilton Bankside Hotel in London played host to the 2016 Build It Awards last week, with IDSystems a finalist in the Best Glazed Door category.
The glittering ceremony, hosted by actor and comedian Tim Vine, brought together specialists, suppliers and architects from the self-build and renovation sector and featured twenty-one awards covering categories related to products, suppliers and completed projects.
Having won the award for 2015 with the Sunflex SF55 bifold doors, we were honoured just to have been shortlisted again - and then left stunned and humbled when theEDGE, our innovative ultra-slim sliding door system won the award!
The Build It judging panel delivered their verdict on theEDGE, saying
"With theEDGE, IDSystems has reimagined a self build favourite and created an innovative, high-performance sliding door system that combines ultra-slim profiles with excellent design, impressive thermal performance and all the practicality homeowners have come to expect."
With more than two thousand hours of development and testing, theEDGE has been refined, improved and evaluated using the latest in sliding door technology to produce a system that is not only visually stunning, but also meets the ultra-high standards for quality, performance, reliability, easy of use and security that IDSystems are renowned for.
Speaking about the award win, IDSystems' Managing Director Richard Hunter was honoured saying, "When we first had the inspiration for the slimline slide it was very much about pushing the boundaries of the system and the technology to see what we could achieve. The finished product has proved a massive success and is hugely popular with our customers - so the award is fitting recognition for both the systems itself and our incredible product development team who have delivered this to market."
"We are hugely grateful to Build It and the awards judges for selecting our product in a category that was very competitive, but the hard work never stops and our technical team will have their work cut out to try and claim a hatrick of awards next year."
